Fundraiser for Food4Kids

The Creative Crafting Interest Group has chosen to support Food4Kids this festive season, and is busily knitting, crocheting and sewing items such as hand warmers and hats to help fill backpacks with gifts for children. They have also received donations from other CFUW members and friends.

    We had a very successful, festive evening with music, great food and refreshments, visiting with friends and helping a very worthwhile organization Food4Kids. Gayle Kabbash was a great speaker, explaining what the organization does and how we were helping Burlington children with food insecurity. We loaded boxes and boxes of food, clothing and toiletries into her car at the end of a wonderful evening. Members brought plates and plates of sweet and savoury treats. Leftovers were given to Gayle for the staff at Food4 Kids and to the health care workers at the Emergency Dept of Joseph Brant hospital. They were very gratefully received. Thank you to our Leadership team and volunteers and also to the very generous members of Burlington CFUW!!
