Hiking The Bruce Trail In Our Heels!
Anonymous: Our Nov. 26th General Meeting Guest Speaker was great! Beth Kummling, Executive Director of the Bruce Trail Conservancy (I can write it, just can’t say it:) took us on a long beautiful virtual hike of the entire Bruce Trail, from Niagara to Tobermory. She spoke of the challenges the BTC has in acquiring and preserving valuable Escarpment land. Beth imparted her love of the trail’s beauty and educational experiences. Her talk was an inspiration to us all, living so near, to cherish and preserve it forever.
Thank you to the Programme Committee and especially Joanne Paine for organizing such an enjoyable evening. Also, thanks to Cathy Stevenson for the wonderful “wholesome and hearty” hiking treats- they kept us going!
