    The HPO opens the 20-21 Season with Joyful Mozart, premiering September 26, highlighting the celebrated composer’s melodies and signature style in works for winds and strings. This performance is the first in the Hamilton Series, which features HPO musicians performing personally selected solo and ensemble works in celebrated locations around our community.

    Three local artists have an Exhibition in the Hub in the Burlington Centre Mall Sept 19-25. It's a fundraiser in support of the Bruce Trail Conservancy and the Burlington Fine arts Association. 50 paintings depict stunning vistas along the 900km Bruce trail.

    Nicole Dolson, a CFUW Burlington member and president of the Burlington Fine Arts Association (BFAA), invites CFUW members to join the BFAA for their general meetings, either virtual or in person.  These meetings feature top-notch Canadian artists as speakers or presenters.

    This is an excellent City of Burlington sponsored service - try it out!  Just click on the link below for more information.

    TelePALS provides free over the phone discussion, social and learning programs for adults. Participants can join in Chat Groups, Listen and Learn, Game Shows, Ask the Expert or Listen for Enjoyment programs. 

    Programs will be either multi-person conversations, question and answer or listening only.

    • No special equipment needed – any phone will do!
    • Programs vary in length but most are about  an hour long and currently run Monday to Friday
    • Listen to conversation, learn from others, enjoy team competitions or participate in creative activities
    • For programs requiring Registration (R) or to leave a question, call 905-335-7738 ext. 4662
    • Registrations accepted up until 24 hours prior to start of program.

    In partnership with the Older Adult Centres' Association of Ontario (OACAO) and sponsored by the Ministry for Seniors and Accessibility (MSAA).

    One of our CFUW Burlington members has been struggling with Lyme Disease for the last few weeks. It seems that she encountered the tick in her own backyard. Everyone needs to be vigilant when enjoying the outdoors.

    11:00 am– 4:00 pm - (Rain Date June 14th)
    Empty Parking Lot – The Burlington Centre (formerly Burlington Mall)

    Members of the general public are asked to “drive through” with food donations during the hours of 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.  

    Families will stay safely in their vehicle as volunteers unload donations.  Social distancing and strict safety protocols will be in place to ensure a contact-less drop-off process.

    Stories from Burlington organizations and businesses that have inspired us by taking action to support our community in new and creative ways. From retooling their manufacturing process to create personal protective equipment, to donating food or supplies to our local hospital, to finding new ways to connect with vulnerable residents and get them the essentials they need, our city has risen to this unique and unprecedented challenge.
