Dr. Alison McQueen, Professor of Art History, McMaster University, previously associated with The National Gallery of Canada and the Frick Art Museum, N.Y.C., will discuss politics and visual culture in the 19th. Century.
The Importance of Empress Eugénie and the Arts.
Empress Eugénie, wife of Napoléon III, was an essential participant in the history of France.
Professor McQueen's research on Eugénie has taken her to France, England, Spain, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Egypt and the United States.
