About Scholarships
CFUW BURLINGTON SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION
In support of CFUW’s objective of promoting education, the CFUW Burlington Scholarship Foundation awards a number of scholarships annually to young women in our community pursuing a post-secondary education.
Each year, young women who have achieved academic excellence and having demonstrated strong leadership capabilities in their schools and communities are selected to receive a Leadership Award. CFUW Burlington has been awarding scholarships to young female graduates of the Halton District School Board and the Halton Catholic District School Board since 2001.
These awards are made possible through the generous donations made by CFUW Burlington Members, community members, Interest Groups, special fundraising events, and In Memoriam donations.
CFUW Burlington also supports the CFUW Charitable Trust which grants Fellowships and Awards annually. The combined amount of the awards granted by the individual CFUW clubs across Canada and those awarded by the Charitable Trust totals almost $1,000,000 annually. Every year, CFUW and its Clubs award close to $1 million to women to help them pursue post-secondary studies.

Donations can be made to the Foundation in honour of, or in memory of a loved one, or simply by making an individual donation. A charitable income tax receipt will be issued to those contributing at or greater than the $20.00 level.
